Alpha Leather has an established relationship with one of the oldest tanneries in South Africa.

Hides are cut using a Teseo Cutting Machine, the world leader in cutting technology. The machine is computerized to identify and reject flaws before the cutting process starts.

In addition to this, four stages of manual quality control take place before the covers are signed off for dispatch: Each hide is inspected by hand before cutting, and the covers are also individually inspected after the cut, after the splitting process, and before packing.

Covers can be split from a thickness of 1.2 mm to 0.5 mm, depending on the application and end use.
